WHY TRAIN WITH WELLNESS HYPNOTHERAPY INSTITUTE?
- Wellness
Hypnotherapy Institute (WHI) is approved as a vocational school by
the Minister of Human Resources and Skills Development Canada, under
the subparagraphs 118.5 (1)(a)(11) of the Income Tax Act. This
certification was effective as of January 2013. As a result, tuition
fees are not subject to GST/HST. The fees paid to the institution for tuition are tax deductible provided
that the fees total more than $100.
- WHI is
accredited by the International Medical and Dental Hypnotherapy Association (IMDHA),
International Hypnosis Federation (IHF), National Guild of Hypnotists (NGH).
- Padman
Pillai, the principal of WHI, has been a speaker at several national
and international conferences over the past years. Padman has taught
chemistry for the undergraduate students at the University of
Alberta, and taught a variety of courses for Metro Continuing
Education, Edmonton Public Schools, for 18 years. In addition, he
presented at the in-service programs at NAIT (Northern Alberta
Institute of Technology) for six years. In January 2015, Padman was
invited to present a one day seminar on “Change Your Mindset and
Change Your Life- A Seminar on Hypnotherapy” to the faculty and
students of the Department of Counselling Psychology at the Layola
College of Social Sciences, University of Kerala, in India. Some of
these widely acclaimed presentations are given freely to the
students of WHI as they are the tools Padman regularly uses in his
client sessions. Examples: ABS formula, How to Convince a Skeptical
Client, EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique), Super Power Memory,
Sedona Method, etc.
-
Learn to become the person of “Last Resort” when every other modality fails to deliver results. (Your Instructor is one of the leading Hypnotherapists in Alberta. Please check out the
Google+ reviews of “Wellness Hypnotherapy Clinic Inc., Edmonton”)
- Padman
Pillai has a M.Sc. degree from the University of London, in England
and subsequently was elected to the Associate Membership of the
Royal Institute of Chemistry, in England.
- Padman has
over 16 years of a highly result oriented and successful
hypnotherapy practice. He has conducted thousands of hypnotherapy
sessions which were highly acclaimed by his clients. Since the
therapist also learns from each client, Padman’s knowledge and
skill sets are invaluable to his students. He has incorporated many
new techniques and routines in his sessions with clients which are
not available in textbooks. He freely shares these winning
techniques with his hypnotherapy students during training. As a
result, Padman has trained many national and international students.
Several of Padman’s hypnotherapy graduates are practicing
hypnotherapy in most provinces across Canada.
- Padman
freely shares his client intake forms, personal record sheets,
protocols, unique scripts and other tools of the trade with his
students.
- WHI’s
Hypnotherapy certification course consists of 150 hours of classroom
training, 100 hours of practicum and 20 hours of research work with
a dissertation.
- WHI provides
its’ graduates with a two year mentorship after certification.
Padman is always available to render help to his students and
graduates who get stuck during a hypnosis session.
CLINICAL HYPNOTHERAPIST
Division
30 of the American Psychological Association had defined Hypnotherapy
as "The use of hypnosis in the treatment of a medical or
psychological disorder or concern." What is significant in that
definition is that, as a medical or psychological treatment, CLINICAL
HYPNOTHERAPY would require a healthcare license in almost all states
in the US.
Currently
no University, Government Hospital or Healthcare insurance company in
Canada recognizes a hypnotherapist as a “CLINICAL HYPNOTHERAPIST”
unless the individual is a clinician with a healthcare license and a
University degree. As a result, WHI will not claim to train you as a
“CLINICAL HYPNOTHERAPIST”.
ARE
STUDENTS REQUIRED TO CONTINUE THEIR EDUCATION AFTER THE CLASS ROOM
TRAINING?
YES.
Students
are required to do 100 hours of practicum during and after class room
training and passing the examination prescribed by the accrediting
authorities. This is absolutely essential. No body becomes a
competent and skilled Hypnotherapist by just attending the class room
training and passing the examinations. During the practicum you may
make mistakes. That is O.K, provided you tell your clients that you
are a trainee and do not charge a fee for the session. It is an
invaluable time for you, to take advantage of the mentorship by your
instructor during this important part of your training.
